Once again, while this description of MEMF_PUBLIC seems pretty
straightforward to me, I don't think it really registered on the typical
Amiga programmer in 1986. As I was trying to suggest to Vic, there were
probably a LOT of people who moved from the C64, Apple II, Tandy or other
micros onto the Amiga platform. These people may not have had any mini or
mainframe experience, and the importance of designating shared commons
explicitly would be lost on them. Perhaps if a little more explanatory
prose had been expended on this item, as well as more consistency in the
example code that littered the RKM's (was EVERY instance of a shared
structure declared PUBLIC in every example?) this problem would have been
reduced.
