If your output is that low, then you're right. But don't deny yourself the
best possible outout on the stuff you do. Craete a PgS test file. When
you're happy with your proofs, print your PgS file to disk, TWICE. First
using the postscript driver, then using the lino driver. Use CrossDos or
Dos2Dos to put the files on an MSDOS formatted disk (or convince your
service bureau to get an Amiga…or send your Amiga disks to Chris Tolmie),
and then drop them off at a local service bureau that has postscript and
lino capabilities. The Laser outout should only cost around $3.00, the lino
at 1200 DPI should run about $12… and if your files have some serious
greyscales in it, have them outout it at 2400 DPI also (around $20). Then
you'll have a good way to judge what you can accomplish in B & W… The
do something in color!
