Since I no longer work in customer support I would suggest calling in and
getting it straightened out. Update should be free, unless they've changed
the policy in the last two weeks. (I've been on vacation) Either way it's
still a bargain, DOS 2.0 compatability, Extreme overscan, and new file
requesters. Most companies are charging for DOS 2.0 updates. Eric is
new, so he may just may have made an innocent mistake. Call in to
415-572-2787, they should be able to help, and like I said unless they've
changed the policy in the last couple of weeks, then the update should be
free.
