I'm using the Trumpcard Pro from IVS. So far no problems. The issue of the
CDROM drive and AMXIV is probably related to Apple's System software not
recognizing the NEC mounting init. I say this because the Trumpcard Pro has no
dificulty runnint eh CDROM from AmigaDos with the CDROMFS software. I have also
tried Trantor's mac version of their universal CDROM mounter, but no luck.
Looks like I will just have to xfer files under Amigados from the CDROM drive
for now. The NEC model drive I have is a bit long in the tooth (CDR-74),
perhaps I will upgrade to a newer model at some point. The main reason for
wanting the direct CDROM interface is so that I can get at a wealth of
postscript fonts that I have in Mac format on the Artroom CD and convert them
for use in Toaster CG and Lightwave. Hopefully I can get by using syquests to
exfer for now.
