They have offered an upgrade to AmaxIV (includes the card) for $350.00 US.
They then will allow a $100 trade in allowance on your cartridge, so the
actual cost is more like $250. You can use the ROMs from your cartridge.
The II+/IV board does not seem to allow connection of a Mac floppy drive,
but the IV software comes with an Amiga utility to copy a Mac low-density
disk to a file on a Amiga partition of your hard disk. When you start
AMax, you can mount that file as a sort of virtual disk, and copy the
contents into the Mac-formatted partition. This actually works, I've even
done it. The file copy from Amiga to Mac works VERY well, I've been
downloading Mac files from the Mac forums here with Autopilot, and copying
them over to the Mac. Soundmaster and lots of other utilities have
arrived that way, and all work fine. I like it!
