If software vendors want to continue brisk sales, then they had better realize that once a user has the apps he wants, he's not going to go out and spend thousands to move his stuff to new machines. Sorry, but I do not believe that any licencing agreement that forbids translation is legal. Certainly not in Canada, anyway. Hell, what could a software company do if you release a chareware version of said compiler? Remember, what you are paying for is one copy. If you translate it for another machine, and discontinue using the original copy, I can't see a legal leg for the manufacturer to stand on. Eric Pinnell
