Vance,
Yes, I like tutorials too, and for the same reason, most of the time. The
problem here is that I'm NOT an artist, and I need to learn the art of 3-D
rendering and animation. It's more than knowing what all the gadgets and
icons do — it's knowing how to make art. You don't get that from a
tutorial (well, maybe some do, but not the rest of us). What would be
beyond price for me would be a week long course with someone like Louis
Markoya or someone else of that caliber, who could teach not only how
Imagine works but how to create art with it. They're two different things.
Frankly, a week wouldn't be long enough. But it would at least be a good
start.
I'll defer to others on the 3000/3000T questions — I'm still using an
accelerated 2000 myself. As to the switchable video slot — I don't know
if it could be done electronically — extending all those lines into
another box isn't as easy as it might seem at first. But I bet there'd be
some interest in the idea, if it could be done. Certainly those who have
held off on a Toaster because they already have a 2000S (or vice versa)
would be interested…
