I never claimed that the Amiga has been selling 1 million units a
year since the beginning, merely that they have been growing in units/year
and are approaching that figure now.
As to the misunderstanding regarding 2.0, it is NOT Commodore's
fault. That is nuts! Someone in R&D reveals private discussions to someone
that aren't concluded yet. Apparently they were not revealed wholly
accurately either. Then you blame Commodore because that rumor got spread?
It is hard to blame the employees either, cause I think they
believed that what they said was true. I don't know whether it actually
is/was true. But it was hardly announced by Commodore publically.
Also, I don't understand your point "how can the sales of 2.0 be
greater than the sales of new Amigas if 2.0 is not available for sale?"
Point is, once Commodore's production on 2.0 is high enough to have
leftovers after shipping it with all new Amigas, then it will go on sale.
