[ continuation ] Our greatest frustration comes from our inability to leave this machine and join the mainstream! You see, after working on an Amiga, MSDOS looks so incredibly clumsy, slow, and outdated, that even the hottest MSDOS programs usually pale in our eyes in light of a multi-tasking Amiga. Oh yeah, MULTI-TASKING. We've been doing it for years. It's built in to the hardware/operating system design. At first the rest of the desktop computer said "who needs it", now they say "have you seen windows?" or "hey, my MAC has pre-emptive multitasking". Well, I've seen them both. I even have to use windows on a regular basis, and, trust me on this, there is nothing in the desktop world that compares with true multi-tasking. I couldn't imagine running my business (independent sales & marketing co.) without my amiga. === my computer is churning out a postscript DTP file in the background while I'm working on a spreadsheet slaes presentation, when the phone rings and a customer needs to check on an order, so with the other two programs still running in their own screens or windows, I point and click and my database is visible, allowing me access to the information my customer wants.=== It is so easy and so intuitive, that after five years of owning my Amiga(s), I still couldn't write a single line of "code", and I still need to look up the syntax of a command line when I need to issue a system command manually. The sysytem itself is that easy to use. Well, I've gone on too long.
