Malcolm, Glad to hear you'll be returning. Some of the material we're covering right now is somewhat sticky because we're from different backgrounds and levels of experience trying to get to a common state of ignorance as novice C programmers. I can state from past experience that when we get into pointers, structs, unions, arrays and special operators things can get pretty interesting. Ted
