Vic, I too, apologize for the trouncing you got by us usually good natured amigans. You will find us fiercely loyal and do not take kindly to even a hint that we may be using anything other than the greatest pc in the world!! Most of this attitude comes from commodore itself, as someone else here said `They couldn't market legit $100.00 bills for $20.00 apiece'. If you can not afford one at the present time, please attend a user's group meeting in your area to help get the feel for this unique 'puter or get a friend with one to give you a guided tour. Yes it is true that most sw for the amiga is less expensive than pc's or Macs. The high end word processors average around $125.00 mail order, and we would put excellance 2.0 against Word Perfect anyday!! Our major graphics programs are in the $100-$200 range, our high end database (Superbase Pro, also available for Windows) suggested retail is only $499 and can be found for as little as $300 with a little shopping. There are quite a few areas that we are slack in, in the business end but we are slowly getting there. Our 3rd party support is second to none in the industry. Actually an Amiga equipped with a GVP 50mhz 68030 accelerator lays claim to be the fastest PC in the world!!!
