Difference between CBM and Apple that's now more important: CBM has a
good-selling "low-end" product (the C64) while Apple has given up on the
Apple II line, essentially. Apple therefore has had to knock down base
pricing on the Macs, making them more comparable in price (not features!)
with A500s. But I don't see that hurting CBM, which in some requests may
have better "legs" than Apple at this point. Apple HAD to join up with
enemy IBM, just like Gorby had to join with Yeltsin! Don't expect it to
last.
