I'm not sure understand what's happening when you power up, but I can tell
you that I had a problem using the WordSync controller with a 4.2 rev
motherboard & GVP 68030 and a slow hard drive (seagate 277N). The problem
was that the accelerated cpu & fast controller were looking for the hard
drive long before the hard drive was ready to communicate. Supra has
released a new set of autoboot roms that correct this. Drop them a note and
ask what the current rom #'s are for the autoboot rom chips (there are
three chips).
This may not be the source of your problem but you should make sure you
have the current WordSync roms anyway. Good-luck.
