In B.C. it was B.C. day, now that's a real original name! I have that one etched in memory because I was flying from Vancouver to St. Louis that day in 1990. I said 'work' instead of 'business' by mistake when going thru US immigration in Vancouver. I got shunted aside because I didn't have a work visa. I tried to explain that I wasn't going to work, just to meet. Didn't do me any good. Tried to call the consulate, but they were closed since it was "B.C. Day." (They probably closed for Canadian and American holidays.) Anyway, I finally got out of Vancouver the next day. The deputy consulate gave me good advice. "just forget it and laugh about it later, and when you go through tomorrow, say you're going for pleasure!" Mike
