I went to Siggraph… in terms of Amiga representation, it was quite
boring. RCS and the Real 3D people had a little booth. Hash Enterprises
was showing "Will Vinton's Playmation" for the Mac, PC and Amiga, and guess
which two platforms were getting the most attention. I saw Todor Faye of
Blue Ribbon Soundworks demonstrating Bars & Pipes in the Sun booth. NewTek
held a party Wednesday night that attracted hundreds of people. It
included the premiere of Rundgren's new video "Theology," great graphics
but a little dizzying in terms of camera motion, :-), and a few short clips
from Babylon 5. And then there was the moment when I organized a band of
young men to kneel in front of Kiki and chant "we're not worthy, we're not
worthy," but that's another story. 🙂 I saw a few Amigas hidden in booths
under bundled workstations aimed at video editing or character generation
markets, but that's all I can remember now…
