Siggraph
I was at Siggraph in a hurry, too – I didn't sleep the night before, then
drove 2 1/2 hours to Chicago to breakfast with a few friends, then did the
show, then hit the NewTek party and drank til the wee hours… Sleep? I
caught 20 minutes before the parties. At one point, I was standing in
front of Todor Faye of Blue Ribbon Soundworks in the Sun booth, watching
his demo, before *he* realized it was me standing there, and vice-versa. I
was sleepy.
I wish I would have made the theatre, this is the first time I've missed
it. I didn't even use my ticket.
I'm six-foot, blonde, 29 years old – although many of my fans were positive
I was a paunchy, middle-aged guy with graying hair and smoking a pipe.
Last year, I did get five minutes in the Univ. of North Carolina virtual
reality system. It was great, very interesting – although I can't wait til
they exceed CGA resolution in those heavy helmets.
