Tim, Based on your logic…we should use nothing at all…after all, at some point in time…everything ends up as garbage and in a landfill (or otherwise disposed of). Specifically, paper in a landfill is NOT a problem. Paper is biodegradable, quite rapidly as a matter of fact. Don't believe me…go bury a newspaper in your garden and try to dig it up in 6 months. I do agree that waste for the sake of waste is not good, but I also believe that packaging that serves a reasonable purpose is not a waste. Don
