With two machines hooked to the same monitor through a switch box, I can
tell you that Windows with SVGA looks SIGNIFICANTLY prettier than AmigaDOS
2.0. Mostly this is due to windows using more colors (256 available on my
box) verses the paltry 4/8/16 colors on the Amiga. Because I really need
the performance on my machine, I am constantly forced to run in the 4 color
mode on my 3000 making this comparison even harsher. Don't get me wrong,
the Amiga does lots of things better than the PC, but video display on the
default configuration is not one of them.
