I agree that the choice should be left to the user. Not everyone can
afford a de-interlacer and the necessary monitor. I happen to have both,
but I still think there are uses for non-interlaced screens.
As for larger characters, programs that are Release 2 compliant should
support larger font sizes. Using an interlaced screen with these larger
sizes looks quite nice and is quite readable. Again, user choice is the
key issue here.
