GFA Basic is no longer supported for the Amiga. It is also NOT QuickBasic
or AmigaBasic compatible. The better choice would be HiSoft Basic
Professional, however, support for it appears to be questionable. It is
better than GFA and is stable, whereas GFA is quite flakey. HiSoft is
compatible with QuickBasic 3.0 and AmigaBasic and it is a compiled basic.
It has a built in editor, like GFA, and can run programs from memory as
well as from disk. If you want a less compatible basic which is still
fully supported, but isn't very compatible with "standard" basics like
AmigaBasic, look at FBasic. It is a compiled basic, has a programming
environment like HiSoft and GFA, though not a very good integrated editor/
compile combination. It is extremely fast, as fast as most C programs.
Current version is 4.0 and it is sold by Delphi Noetics.
