Mike,
I left Propage a couple of years ago. But I think I will revisit it to see
if it will allow me to handle large graphic files. PgS will not.
I have modified my PgS prologue file to place four registration marks on
the page, rather than the usual two. If I can make both programs output
their registration marks at precisely the same place on the page (and I
don't see why I can't) I can use them in tandem to accomplish both graphic
handling and type 1 font handling.
As a matter of fact, apropos of our other discussion re EPS files. Maybe I
can use one program as the host for the other's PostScript output. My
choice would be to write the PgS PostScript code to a file, then
encapsulate it and let it serve as an addendum to the Pro Page prolog.
Whew! what a rube Goldberg that will be!
Sure hope that either ProPage gets type 1 capability or that PgS gets
external file handling ability!
