Michael, Thanks for the answer. But I don't think I really made my point. Since graphics must be imported and retained internally, the reality is that Pgs makes it a practical _impossibilty_ to use even medium sized b&w haltones or even very small 24 bit images. This is a _very_ serious shortcoming, and probably as serious as ProPage's inability to use type 1 fonts. It would probably simplify Pgs code if it stopped reatianing the file internally. Is there any way that this kind of change could be made quickly? Who at Soft Logik makes these kind of decisions? In case Soft Logik hasn't noticed, the abilty to handle graphic files gracefully and successfully is (has been) a part of almost every other DTP program of any worth. Rich
