The important point about the monitor's specifications is called "horizotal frequency". This is a value in Kilohertz (kHz) that states how often a scanline is written out on the monitor. If you want to connect a A500 without Flickerfixer, your monitor has to support a H-Frequency of something around 15.0 kHz (I don't know the exact specs for NTSC Video, here in Germany for PAL systems it's 15.6 kHz). The other frequency values that are stated in your monitor's technical data (the 50 or 60 _Hz_ – not kHz) are the vertical frequency. This has to be 60 Hz for NTSC video, but should not be a problem for most monitors anyway. So you should look up the V-Frequency in your Monitor's manual. If it supports 15 kHz (many PC monitors start at about 30 kHz as this is the needed value for VGA/SVGA graphic card), you can connect your A 500. All you need then is a special cable. For more detailled information on this, exact knowledge about the monitor model and it's connector pinout would be required. These should also be found in the monitors manual.
