Ben, I've often had the same thoughts, but I don't expect to see it in my lifetime! I'm not sure making a new landfill site on the moon would really do anything other than postpone the problem for our children to deal with. How about this – shoot it to the sun! The hardest part is getting out of the earth's gravity. I really do think that it may be a reasonable solution for disposal of some of the really nasty things that we should not keep on the planet.
