I would only conceed that we need wordprocessors with Wordperfect file import/export. I do not like Wordperfect itself, as it is user-hostile and that is the last thing we need on the Amiga. As for dbMan V, please remember it is a dbase product line in its own right as are 99.9% of db titles for other machines. It does what I believe many databases do.. And that is give you basic dBase III+ comptability (data and code) plus a truckload of other features unique to that product line. I don'y think dBase IV came close to being the trendsetter that dBase III+ was. Multiplatform support for dBman consists of 100 platforms "including Macintosh Sys. 7, Amiga UNIX and all major UNIX platform vendors, 88-OPEN, SPARC, MIPS, Motorola, and INTEL. European and 2-byte-character Asian support is available."
