Steven, doesn't the A2386 have the so-called "drive multiplexing" that enables it to share the internal disk drive with the Amiga side? The multiplexed (3.5 " Amiga-side) drive is then referred to as drive A:. As far as I know this is achieved connecting the floppy cable from the Amiga motherboard via the brigeboard to the internal floppy drive. This feature has not been available on the A 2286 or A 2088 respectively, although Commodore have developed a so-called "A 2088 T" with a multiplexed drive. But this one obviously has never been released. If you do not want to use this feature, perhaps you find some information in the manual on how to disable drive multiplexing. This could be the clue to get the 5,25 " drive working as drive A:. I am afraid I don't know any more details on this as I still use the good old A 2088. But perhaps this was a hint in the right direction… Hannes
