As far as I have read, the Seagate ST3600A, ST3655A, and the Micropolis
2205A are supported. The ST3655A parks its head once every 120 seconds,
therefore you can not do any animations longer than 2 minutes. They claim
that the drive is better for speed than the ST3600A.
I have the ST3600A and have had no problems with playback of animations
and recordings as long as 3 minutes in length. I think that they said that
with the ST3655A the quality of the picture would be better due to the
fact that you could use either a larger block limit or a higher
compression Q-factor, I forgot which one.
DPS is constantly testing and adding hard drives. I suggest that you call
them for the latest info.
