🙂 Six months ago I thought I was unique in having a Toaster, 3 big harddrives, 68040, syquest, 36 megs of RAM, BridgeBoard, DCTV. I felt embarassed at Amiga dealers and user's groups. As soon as I said what I was using, I was instantly alienated after being asked if I'm "a lawyer or something 🙁 I'm just an elevator mechanic that makes his family eat bread and water only (I steal the grocery budget)… well not really 🙂 In the last six months I have met 7 Amigaoids who have a similar set-up as mine but with $15,000 of video gear and/or midi stuff in addition. I'm seeing some incredible set-ups and they are all for fun only. No commercial work at all, just editing home movies or having fun with tunes and stuff. Between us all we own maybe 4 games. The last two guys I saw a while back that had a Amiga 500 with one disk drive have both quit using the machine and bought PC Clones. This may all just be a statiscal blip, I don't now what is changing. I went back to the Amiga dealer to ask him what his customers were like. The store was empty and closed for good. So… was I kidding? Yeah, I guess. But there's an awful lot of full blown systems being put together all of a sudden. –Paul Still on AutoPilot
