Michael, A light pen reader was placed on the market a number of years ago and Inkwell Systems may have been the people that did it. I don't remember. At that time, what ever was released was shy in the software department for reading all bar code formats and, and most importantly, cost "Your first born". If this is the same people, do you know if they brought their prices into line? If not, they could use some competition. Of course, some hardware maybe involved with this path. As for Retail Escort: I have seen something advertised using Superbase, but no hands on. This may fill the bill. The main points of POP that I have found lacking in the past were: Obtaining customer information, easily. Lay-A-Way and Credit information and billing. Automatic stock reorder. Auto Invoicing on Time Payments. -Tom
