U.67505 Wayne, >> "Platinum Works just plain sucks in my opinion." << You are not the first to express yourself in this way. I use to defend it, but no longer. It was some of the first serious programs out for Ami. They came from the cpm world, but so did I. So, I never had any problems with them. Enough said. Does Ami have a forms generator? Yes, as Pete Garcia has said there is TopForm. But he also say's "it's a fair forms program". He forgot to add "to poor" after fair. I have talked with a few people in the business world that has tried it. They think it sucks, has bad printer output. >>"Casper isn't _that_ far away"<< I'm getting too old to sit in a car/truck for five+ hours any more. Down here we do have a number of Amiga owners, one programmer, and me. If you do make it down here give me a call. There's only two of us in the phone book and I use Thomas (not tom). In general I'd like to say that software written for the Amiga is compared to the same category programs that are out for the IBM. And we always fail.(most of the time) I think this is unfair because the Ami prog is first generation and the beamer stuff is at lest on the fifth release. I do hope you look at the beamer stuff to see all the bells and whistles that should be included in anything you write. Also, If you write something that no one has written before you may be on safer grounds. Please see mess #67424. Chris has a number of good things that are needed. While your original idea may sound good (cheap software), you may find a larger market for these other type of things. It has been my experience that people that just can afford a computer and then cry about software prices turn into the pirates of silicon and don't buy anything, no matter the price. -Tom (Not a real programmer, but I play one on TV)
