Vic, Oh, I didn't know that, about the way IFF files get written to disk, in a funny sort of way. Hmmm…well…I suppose if the user is aware of the difficulty of reading and writing files such as IFF files, then they could save such files in an uncompressed area on their drive. One of the features of such programs on the PC is the ability to create an area on your harddrive that is not touched by the compression scheme, in any size you want. With Stacker, it shows up as another harddrive volume…such as drive D. In fact they recommend that if you have a problem with certain files or programs then put them within the uncompressed area.
