Chris, My mouse died same way after 5 years use (wore the texture off the mouse button in the process). Beetle mouse: don't bother! The ball hole size is wrong and the ball jams in it all the time. Pointer stops moving or takes off at right angles to motion. Sensors are poorly mounted. Pointer vibrates beetween tow positions for a while at the end of its motion. Very hard to postion precisely. True mouse: works perfectly $25. wmc
