bit RAM & A2630
I'm going to be adding a Commodore A-2630 accelerator to my Amiga 2000.
Currently the machine has a Supra RAM board with 6MB of 16-bit RAM. The A-2630
has 4MB of 32-bit RAM.
I have been told that there may be trouble getting the A-2630 to recognize
the 16-bit RAM…i.e. I may wind up with only 4MB extra instead of 6MB. A
techie friend says he thinks there is a way to (a) make the machine recognize
the 6MB of 16-bit RAM, and (b) force it to use the 4MB of 32-bit RAM first. Is
this true? If so, how?
I am perfectly capable of messing with my startup-sequence and usually use
the CLI (shell, actually), but I'm not what you'd call a tech wizard,
so…short words, please?
Thanks!
