Jim – I have a slightly wierd system set-up since I still have my Grandslam (also IVS) still in my machine. I have a 105 Quantum hooked onto the vector (which is my boot drive) on the Grandslam ( which is set to not autoboot) I have a DMI (Insite) floptical drive and a Viper tape drive. I had no problems hooking the Quantum and the Floptical to the Vector Its just that the floptical is MUCH slower than a hard drive it slowed my system ( I like to do alot at the same time thats why I have an Amiga 😉 ). Now with the two controlers the floptical can plod along at it own rate while zip along doing other things. The flopitical is neat in its own way though at $20 for 20 meg its great for keeping pics on one disk, telecommuncation stuff on another…… Tom
