Sure. I don't know which of the two wires on the power connectors is 12v, but they are standard, so if it doesn't say in the back of the 2000 manual (wierd the schematics and such that showed up there), you could ask at any repair shop. Problem is, unless you have a specific component to cool, it's not going to do any good. If you want to increase life generally with a fan, you need to increase air *flow* and you can't do that without sucking/blowing through the case. (A fan card cuts off much of the air space around itself and kind of gives a "turbo boost" to the power supply fan.) I can't think of any holes for you to mount the fan over such that it draws/blows air from outside. What is your "less than desirable" environment? Hot room without AC?
