No Ron – they THINK they MIGHT be hurt by piracy. Remember, brilliance
has never shipped till now, and DC has all dongled products – DCTV,
Kitchen Synch, SuperGen, SuperGen S… did I miss any?
The difference is that the dongles that shipped with the other products I
named above also enhanced system operation rather than degrading it. If
they can make a tranparent dongle or one that adds some performance to the
system then I wouldn't complain.
Point 2 is that I'll bet they never thought that they may be loosing more
money to the costr of the dongles plus lost sales as compared to any
piracy. Dpaint seems to do O.K. with no dongle. Why should Brilliance be
different?
