If you have more than one frame, you need to type the position of the object into the position bar in the action editor. Saving a new position in the stage editor will only change the position in the last frame. Delete the position bar in the action editor, then add a new one. I think you have to actually type in the position, but you could try deleting the position bar and then saving in the stage editor.
