Mike,
Inheriting the Workbench settings is *wrong*, except at startup and if
their is no user preference. The Screenmode should be set based on the
screenmode that was in use when the form was created. It should also be
possible for me to set via SBase4's preferences what screenmode I want the
program to operate in.
Opening 256 color windows is NOT AGA support. AGA support means to me
that the display database is used.
Mike, I am not flaming you. I just need this thing to work reasonably. I
can't request my customers to change their workbench everytime the want to
run my software under SuperBase.
Try this for fun. Create a form on an A3000 in 640×400 Interlaced. Now
move that form over to an A4000 that has the workbench set in productivity
mode. Now open that form.
What you get is Productivity Interlaced, which is 640×800 (and more if you
have an overscanned Workbench). Your form is the tiny FLASHING beast at
the top of the screen. Fun, but hardly usable.
Not acceptable at all.
Thanks for taking the time to answer me though Mike.
