Derek; When it comes to fonts I'm really not too knowledgeable. I mostly publish industrial training courses and the vast majority of font use is times and helvetica. Not only that but when I want something special now I tend to do the work in ArtExpressing, convert to a graphic and import to PgS. Now having covered myself for the potential errors <grin>, yes Adobe Type 1 fonts will work with PgS. In my personal experience, I feel that they are "too slow" for general use but I do use them for brochures, announcements and similar 1 and 2 page stuff. I have played just a little with TypeSmith to try converting the Type 1's to CG fonts but am not real successful in the process. I believe that it is more of a "printer" or "fontequiv" problem though. That is to say, TypeSmith seems to do the conversion just fine but when I try to use the fonts in PgS the screen display is fine and the print out is not what was expected. It has worked for me at least once and I believe that I made a "hand" entry in the PgS fontequiv table. Michael knows this area quite well so if I have "bum doped you" hopefully he will jump in and set things right. -bill
