From the latest I've heard about speed the pentium is it for real touchy feely stuff now. You must buy a board designed for the pentiun. The P24T is, to my understanding, not out yet and hasn't been benchmarked against the true pentium, so who knows? Paying extra for a P24T board now is not good fiscal judgement because who knows what last minute changes Intel will make even if they do come out with the chip next year as planned. Also on the horizon is the DX3 which should work in all DX-2 MB's. My upgrade MB for now is an EISA/VLB busmaster with 72 pin SIMMS or the same with 4 banks of 36 pin simms. One Meg cache. ( BTW I understand that the 72 pin simms can be installed one at a time not requiring purchasing in lots of 4 🙂 ) The CPU should be DX-2 or 3 compatible. I'll just wait on that Pentium$$$.
