Ronnie, I'll try to answer your question, but others here may be able to provide a more technical answer. In ordering the box from JDR, they explained that they had a less expensive model but said this one had circuitry in it to provide a smoother switch between displays. It apparently also switches keyboards (I can tell you after I receive the package). I would expect this would solve the type of problems you describe. It's not clear to me if the difference is cosmetic or critical to avoid damage to your equipment. (Anyone else can jump in right here…) *** jd
