Dale… I see. Well, I don't want to get into any kind of argument here, but… I really don't give a damn about dongles. I have a Scala dongle, and will have a Brilliance dongle too. If I end up having more dongles than my system will handle, then I will be upset. However, if it works out that I don't suffer any inconveniences (my Scala dongle has not inconvenienced me in any way) then I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. It's a tradeoff. People want Brilliance because they like how it works, and want it's functionality. Now, if it comes down to doing without or having it around doing work for me, and having to stare at a dongle, why should I care that it's there? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a dongle fan. But I have to laugh at these folks who would say they prefer a lookup-type code wheel or a key disk. These folks obviously have more patience with these types of things than I do, because I sure *hate* manual lookups and code wheels, and I sure as hell would hate to have to insert a floppy everytime I wanted to use my paint program. Nope, the dongle suits me just fine. I'm not going to dismiss the product out of hand just to joing the ranks of those who would do so, for whatever reasons I can't figure out. Over the past couple of years I've heard folks complain about dongles and how they will never buy a product that has a dongle. I can't help but wonder who is the *real* loser in that arrangement. Getting back to Scala, if you are into Multimedia, you simply *have* to have Scala. It's the Video Toaster of Multimedia software. If Brilliance ends up being the "gotta have it" paint program, I suspect some of those out there who are now scoffing at the idea of having a dongle in their machine will turn tail and buy a package, forever coveting their precious Brilliance dongle. And well they should, if the product is worth having. Anyways, 'nuff said. My Brilliance is on the way, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I loved the demos I saw of it last December. Jim
