Mike, GREAT idea, the 'dummy' data files! ;v)) Of course, with the writable CD CD-ROM CAN be copied, BUT what's the price for a CD-ROM recorder? what the price for each medium? At least now, they're in a price range where you could buy several original (music) CDs for the price of one copy. As far as I know, 'consumer' products in the digital audio (i.e. CD, DAT, etc) have a hardware copy protection which lets you make only ONE digital copy of a digital master. So either a pirate gets real 'PRO' audio (i.e. studio level = VERY expensive) hardware or he is the only source for copied CD-ROM software for only the ORIGINAL CD can be copied. I doubt that the data of a CD-ROM would survive an analog copy… SO eat your heart out, pirates!!! :v))) // Chris coming in from Germany \X/ on AutoPilot 1.06………..
