Ron, funny you should say that, but the same laws that apply to software piracy apply to taxes. If people find that for x number of dollars they will pay y amount of taxes, but if they pay y-n number of dollars to the government after using an accountant and some writeoffs, they'll go with the y-n option every time. It is a very simple law of economics. If you are better off with your next best alternative, people will generally do it. Raise the marginal tax rate and more people will start using accountants to reduce their tax burden (it seems to kick in right around the 32% marginal rate). The same with software. Raise the cost of the software, either with dongles or by price, and people will generally choose the next best alternative, either a package without a dongle or piracy. Brian
