Michael,
the 486/66 is the best choice for 3ds as long as you have sufficient ram to
avoid paging. Should be roughly twice as fast in rendering. I haven't bothered
to upgrade from dos 5 to 6 and see little incentive to. I have QEMM and you
won't catch me using disk compression again <scream!>
