Dave, I use a null cable from amiga to amiga all the time. I made the cable my self and it only needs 5 pins connected. I would suggest not connecting the other wires. pins 2,3,4,5 and 7 are used on the amiga with the recieve and transmit lines switched on on end. (don't know which two pins they are off hand) I hope this is some help. Bill
