I have had a 2000 with 4.1 MB for over 3 years, and it pushes a unatural number of peripherals with no problems, ie GVP combo accel, flickerfixer, 386 bridgboard w/ multi I/O card, GVP series II hard card, syquest 88, DCTV, HD floppy, 3 different HDs, 14.4 HST, have even used an old Cherry keyboard with no known problems (lightning did take out serial port buffers a couple of years ago but have since replaced with socketed chips).
