#A3000 Diagnostic Pgms?
I am having some problems with my A3000, it crashes and the crashes
are becoming more frequent and more annoying. I can't find any sort
of pattern to the crashes but I am still trying to do so. The
machine passes every memory test that I have run. I borrowed a copy
of "Final Test" but it seems to be for the A500 and A2000 and not for
the A3000. Final Test crashes but I have no way to determine if this
is unique to the A3000 or not.
I am looking for a diagnostic program to try and find the problem. AC's
Guide to the Amiga (summer '93 edition) lists two programs that might
help, they are:
Free Spirit Software's Doctor Ami and Custom Services' STU Amiga System
Test Utility.
The latest Grapevine ad lists a product named "Advanced Amiga Analyzer."
I called them but they could give me no information on this program
(although they were quite eager to take my order). When I pressed for a
number that I could call for information on this program they gave me a
phone number for Commodore. (Boy am I impressed with these guys!)
Is anyone here familar with any of these three programs? If so, I'd sure
like your opionions before I buy one of these.
Thanks in advance,
-J
