Yeah, Don, like Greg said, thanks for the concern. We really seem to squeak by and stay relatively unscathed down here in San Diego County. I hope that doesn't mean someone is getting a "big one" ready for us! Actually, I believe that the major faults take a big turn inland farther south, and the bigger quakes down here should be centered in the desert. If this sounds like wishfull thinking, then you're right!<g>. All I can tell ya is I'm buying a *single* story home, and it's *not* on stilts! LA (especially the San Fernando Valley) is a real mess, however. Perhaps one of the scariest things is that this quake was *not* caused by the San Andreas fault (the one predicted to slip big-time and cause the Big One), and close-by tremblors like this are said to weaken said fault and make said slippage all the more likely!
