David – As you've read the thread, I'll elaborate and give you a contact # for further info. Basically with the ASDG Abacus driver you are able to convert your rendered animation to the Abacus Digital disk CCR-601 format. The conversion is done to the Exabtye 8650 tape drive. This tape can then be sent to a service bureau where it is transferred to D1. It is a very cost effective way to get D1 quality without the associated overhead.
